You may be the most qualified person she has interviewed, but she cannot judge you until she’s interviewed them all.

Put yourself in a secondary position - what if you were the next in line to be interviewed, but the interviewer told you the last candidate was qualified, so good day? Wouldn’t you beg for a chance to prove to the interviewer that you were even better than the last candidate?

The vision depends on the viewpoint you stand from -

No. its like shopping to get the most qulaified candidiate. They may not feel completely comfortable with you and are waiting.

Some companies list a job and have designated dates to accept applications. They have to keep open the job until the date they have specified.

When the interviewer says they have more candidates to interview, that is the time to make them remember you. Come up with a confident closing comment. That way, whenthey are thinking over their choices, they will have a reason to pick you.
